Jan Dutton is a talented arranger who specializes in piano and percussion music. With a passion for contemporary worship, she brings a unique style to her arrangements that resonates with a variety of congregations/audiences.
Ms. Dutton holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music from The Juilliard School, and a Doctor of Education (ABD) from NorthCentral University. She served in "The President's Own" Marine Band as a percussionist, and recorded two marimba solo CD's featuring her arrangements/transcriptions. She has served on the faculty of George Washington University as well as SEU, and has been a guest lecturer at more than 50 Universities throughout the U.S. She is a retired worship leader and is now focusing on recording and publishing a collection of contemporary praise and worship songs arranged for piano. Her new CD, At the Altar, is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2025, and the arrangements will be available for purchase in early 2026. All proceeds from the sale of her CD and arrangements is being donated to Talbot House Ministries, a homeless shelter and job training center in Lakeland, FL. She currently resides in Plant City, FL with her husband, Chris, who is a talented photographer/videographer; when she is not arranging or playing for worship services, you can usually find her in her extensive Florida native butterfly garden.
